receiving Gods grace ☀️

Then Peter came to him and asked, “Lord, how often should I forgive someone who sins against me? Seven times?” “No, not seven times,” Jesus replied, “but seventy times seven! (Matthew 18:21, 22 NLT)
Gods grace is sufficient to help us when others wrong us. Yet we refuse Gods grace when we choose bitterness over forgiveness. forgiveness and Gods grace go hand-in-hand! as we seek Gods grace, HE will help us forgive others. bitterness changes our perspective on life and rather than focusing on Christ and living for Him, our eyes settle on the hurt and pain we feel. we can focus so much in pain that we develop resentment towards the one who caused it. bitterness also causes us to lose out trust in others just as children who have been abused or neglected. this distrust will take over our lives and we’ll lose our effectiveness for Christ! God has a purpose for your life and wants to use you in a special way! when we focus on hurts we won’t be able to see the needs of other but only our own. we will lose the opportunity to tell others of Christ or help others who are hurting. when we chose to forgive rather than become bitter, God is able to use us in a mighty way. When someone wrongs us, we can chose to make the situation positive by not getting angry or bitter towards them. We must forgive them as Christ would do. if you harbor bitterness towards someone and fail to forgive them, take time to receive Gods grace to forgive even the deepest hurts of your life. let God use you today by having a God-honoring spirit instead of a bitter spirit!
