It was by faith that Moses, when he grew up, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter. He chose to share the oppression of God’s people instead of enjoying the fleeting pleasures of sin. (Hebrews 11:24, 25 NLT)
through the decision of faith that Moses’ parents made, God orchestrated events so that Moses grew up in the Egyptian palace as the princess’ son. As Moses became a young man he was faced with his own decision of faith – he could choose the life of a prince or to follow God and identify with Gods people.
Moses’ choose to follow God and refused to be called an Egyptian prince, this decision was one of faith and left the comfort of the palace life.
His decision required suffering and Moses chose to suffer the physical pains of being a slave rather than the comfort of a prince. He chose to trust God rather than take part in the ease of sin. Moses chose hardship because it was the right way, not the easy way.
Every Christian who chooses to walk by faith and identify with Jesus Christ will suffer some form of persecution. living for pleasure and sin always leads to a wasted life and heartache. choosing to identify with Christ and living for Him brings eternal rewards! HE will guide us and bless us!
*I pray that I would always choose to identify with Christ and LIVE for Him no matter what the circumstances. That I would always choose His strength and protection over the cares and comforts of this world.
