Exodus 32:1 tells of Moses delaying to come down out of the mountain while the people gathered themselves and prayed to God for a new leader because Moses was taking too long.
We can all be impatient at times – whether it is standing in line, sitting in traffic, or waiting for a tax return.. sometimes we can also become impatient while waiting on an answer from God in a certain situation.
Moses was spending time alone with God on the mountain to get further direction, but the people turned aside from his commands and sought another way to Promised Land. They no longer wanted to wait for God’s man. it’s so important to wait on The Lord! When we ask God for something we tend to quickly give up after he doesn’t answer our prayers.
But Gods greatest times of working come through times of waiting! The people of Israel lost the blessing of what God had intended that time to be because they were impatient. If your waiting on The Lord and feeling impatient think of the blessings you will be missing if you become impatient and give up on God! God does have blessings in store for your life if you will only wait on Him and on His timing. you may be only a day away from seeing your prayer answered!!
*I pray that I would patiently wait on The Lord today and everyday. That even when I feel as though time is standing still and I want to make my own plan that I would always wait on Gods plan.
