plenty of blessings to go around πŸ’—

1 Samuel 18:8-9 tells us of Sauls envy toward David. David was anointed and appointed by God in a big way and Saul felt he deserved the same glory.
Sauls life is an example of the destructive nature of jealousy. David’s victory over Goliath won him instant popularity among the people. Because of David’s popularity, however, Saul developed a jealous attitude toward David. Rather than being glad that God had raised up a man to help defend Israel and to defeat the enemy, Saul sulked because he was not the one receiving the glory.
Jealousy can come into all our lives if we’re not careful. we can become upset and jealous when someone around us is lifted up for something they have done. Sometimes we feel that we should have been blessed instead of them being blessed but here’s the great thing about our infinite God – there’s plenty of His blessings to go around! God has a specific plan and purpose for YOUR life, He desires to give you blessings. you have a purpose that only you can fulfill but we must focus on God and being faithful to Him in order to receive the blessings He has for us.
* I pray that I would show Gods love each and every day and be faithful to Him. That I would be joyful of the work he’s accomplishing through others and rejoice when others are blessed. I pray that I would never be jealous of another’s purpose and always remember that God has a plan for my life. πŸŒΈβ˜ΊοΈπŸ™Œ
