So incredibly thankful for my amazing pastor who continues to lead not only students but youth leaders to life in God and towards a closer relationship with God. Tonight he poured out Gods words about dating and self worth which I’m extremely passionate about and I couldn’t help but share his sermon with you all.
Psalms 139:13-16 tells of Davids realization that God made him perfectly the way he is & he made him that way on purpose. Don’t be cocky but be confident in knowing that YOU were made by God exactly the way you were suppose to be made. David knew WHO he was because of WHOSE he was.
LADIES* – don’t settle for a guy just because he’s willing to give you attention. – don’t seek affirmation from a guy and compromise who you are. – don’t give someone all you have hoping to feel loved and valuable. YOU are beautiful, you’re beautiful because God made you that way & God doesn’t make junk. He knew what he was doing when you made Y.O.U. YOUR life is value, Jesus paid for you. You are a created daughter of the King- YOU are not ordinary, YOU are a princess.
MEN* – don’t tell girls you love just to meet your physical, mental or emotional needs. – don’t control girls just to feel like your in control. – don’t push boundaries to meet the worlds standards. – don’t play games with their emotions to feel important. – don’t change yourself to become something that God didn’t want you to be. boys play games, men fight. boys take but men give. Be the MAN that God called you to be. treat girls like the princess they are, fight for her heart not her body. A man of God protects not just physically but emotionally and mentally as well. He is suppose to help his wife grow closer to God and doesn’t have to prove anything. Love doesn’t take, love covers. MEN are called to lead the relationship – not to be served but to serve.
The ONLY one that gets to define you is the one who made you – If you don’t know WHOSE you are then you won’t know WHO you are. God didn’t call you to find the person, he called you to BE the person. God will find the person for you.. Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you said the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
@bradbarbour Thanks for your faithfulness to God!
